Decisions where you could go with multiple approaches, and you want a sense for the pros and cons of each.  ie, Which compensation model should we go with for the upcoming year?, Should we build an iPhone application?, Should we try and use an offshore call center?

Weigh the pros and cons of several potential solutions to a problem to see which option seems to make the most sense.  This lets you visualize all the thinking you can put into each solution as a group.  It frees your brain up to brainstorm and follow different paths, since all the information is down on the page, and rated according to how important you think the points are.

    This is a good question - my initial response is Software Selection, but as I'm trying to fill out the Reasons section I'm starting to second guess myself and am not necessarily convinced.
