4GB is good enough for surfing the web, emails, and word processing at the same time (Normal Usage)

- 1038 Is the Apple RAM that expensive? I thought most of what you were paying for in the upgraded model was the more expensive CPU. blake
- 1038 Can you? I know Apple have dropped their memory prices hugely, and that Crucial charges more for the upgrade memory than Apple does. You can sell the Apple memory but even then I don't think you'll be even. My 2c hannesduplessis

I develop on a older macbook (not pro) with 3.75GB of RAM and often feel the need for more memory (Software Development)

- 1040 I run on 4 GB, and don't really come close to maxing out often in Activity Monitor blake

Running Eclipse and Firefox with other basic apps like Adium, Mail, etc. takes ~2.5GB which leaves 1.5GB for other apps which isn't that great (Software Development)

For video editing its always good to have more memory. Although, 4GB can do it the buffer and replays are a bit choppy (Video Editing)
